Privacy Policy — Football IQ

Last updated: 26 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Cactus Media Producties ("we", "us") handles information in the mobile game Football IQ (the "App"). We keep the App as privacy-friendly as possible: you do not create an account, and we do not ask for your real name, email or any sensitive personal data.

1. Information we process

2. How we use it

3. Third-party services

We use Google AdMob to show ads. Google acts as an independent controller for the advertising data it collects. See Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy and how Google uses data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Our leaderboard server is hosted on Render; it only stores the nickname, score and (for daily) the challenge day.

4. Consent for personalised ads (EU/EEA/UK)

Before showing personalised ads to users in the EU/EEA and UK, the App presents a consent choice (Google's consent message). You can choose non-personalised ads. You can change your choice later via the in-app "Ad privacy settings" option or your device's ad settings.

5. Children

Football IQ is a general-audience trivia game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

6. Your rights

Because we do not tie data to a real identity, we cannot always link data to a specific person. If you contact us with the nickname you used, we can remove your leaderboard entries. Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your data and to withdraw ad consent. For advertising data held by Google, please also use Google's controls.

7. Data retention

Leaderboard entries (nickname + score) are kept to keep the rankings meaningful and are removed on request. On-device data is removed when you delete the App or clear its data.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date will change accordingly.

This policy reflects how the app actually works. It is a solid starting point, not legal advice — for a commercial release you may want a professional to review it.
